Caring for Your Surfaces
A two-minute routine that keeps laminate looking specified-day fresh for decades.
Laminate is among the most forgiving surfaces in any interior, but a little ritual keeps it pristine. The rule is gentle and frequent rather than harsh and occasional.
For daily cleaning, a soft damp cloth and a drop of pH-neutral soap is all you need. Avoid abrasive pads and scouring creams — they can dull a matte finish over time by polishing micro-scratches into the texture.
For stubborn marks, reach for a melamine sponge on gloss finishes, but test matte surfaces in a hidden spot first. Heat is the one true enemy: always use a trivet, never set a pan directly on the surface.
Done consistently, this routine means your Pretone surface looks exactly as it did the day it was installed — years later.
